Cooking times are based on a cooking temperature of 360F (180C). Cooking times are an approximate guide only, check your turkey during cooking to see if if it cooked.

Cooking time is approximately 22.5 minutes per 500g (1 pound) unstuffed turkey

Unstuffed Turkey

4 - 8 pounds (1.8 - 3.6 kg) 1 hour, 30 minutes - 3 hours
8 - 12 pounds (3.6 - 5.5 kg) 3 hours - 4 hours, 30 minutes
12 - 14 pounds (5.5 - 6.3 kg) 4 hours, 30 minutes - 5 hours, 15 minutes
14 - 18 pounds (6.3 - 8.2 kg) 5 hours, 15 minutes  - 6 hours, 45 minutes
18 - 20 pounds (8.2 - 9 kg) 6 hours, 45 minutes - 7 hours, 30 minutes
20 - 24 pounds (9kg - 10.9 kg) 7 hours, 30 minutes - 8 hours, 15 minutes

Cooking time is approximately 30 minutes per 500g (1 pound) for stuffed turkey.

12 - 14 pounds (5.5 - 6.3 kg) 6 hours - 7 hours
14 - 18 pounds (6.3 - 8.2 kg) 7 hours - 9 hours
18 - 20 pounds (8.2 - 9 kg) 9 hours - 10 hours
20 - 24 pounds (9kg - 10.9 kg) 10 hours - 12 hours

The turkey is cooked when the internal temperature of the thickest part of the turkey thigh reaches a minimum of 165C. You should use a meat thermometer to ensure the correct temperature.
