Spaghetti
Bolognese

Ingredients:
500g beef mince.
1
medium brown onion, chopped finely.
3
cloves of garlic, chopped finely.
1
x 425g can of tinned tomatoes.
1
teaspoon fresh basil.
1
teaspoon fresh oregano.
1
teaspoon fresh thyme.
1/3 cup tomato paste.
2
cups of beef stock.
250g spaghetti.
Grated parmesan cheese.

tablespoons olive oil.
1
teaspoon sugar.
Method:

Heat oil in a large frying pan & cook the onion
& garlic until golden brown.

Add beef mince to pan & cook until browned. Mash
with a fork to break up lumps.

Once browned, transfer to a pan.

Crush or chop tinned tomatoes & add to mince
mixture, followed by the herbs, tomato paste, beef stock
& sugar. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat &
simmer for 60 minutes until sauce is thick.

Cook spaghetti.

Once cooked, pile spaghetti onto plates, top
with Bolognese sauce & top with freshly grated
parmesan.

Serve with crusty garlic bread.
Variations:
Add a few slices of fried prosciutto & half a
cup of red wine during the cooking process.
Add half a cup of chopped & sauteed mushrooms.
Grated vegetables can also be included in this
recipe. They are a great if you're serving this
up to children.
