Mushroom sauce

Ingredients:

  • 250g button mushrooms, sliced.
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed.
  • 1 medium brown onion, finely diced.
  • 300ml pouring cream.
  • ¼ cup of dry white wine.
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour.
  • 1 tablespoon butter.
  • Salt & pepper to taste.

Method:

  • Heat butter over a medium in a frying pan & add onion, cook until translucent.
  • Add mushrooms & garlic. Cook 3-4 minutes.
  • Add wine & cream.
  • Mix corn flour in with 1 tablespoon of water & mix well. Add to sauce.
  • Bring to boil, then reduce heat & simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt & pepper.
