Garlic Mushrooms

garlic mushrooms

Ingredients:

500g button mushrooms.
30g butter or 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil.
4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped.
1 tablespoon parsley.
Salt & pepper to taste.

Method:

  • Peel the mushrooms, remove the stalk & thinly slice.

  • Place the butter or olive oil in a frying pan over a medium to high heat.

  • Add the mushrooms & cook, stirring until browned & softened (around 5 minutes).

  • Add garlic, salt & pepper. Continue stirring until cooked.

  • Remove from heat & serve. Garnish with parsley.

Optional extras:

  • 1 teaspoon of chilli.

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of sour cream.

  • Splash of sherry.
