Fried Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 2 x eggs (free range if possible)

  • Knob of butter

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Toast

Method:

  • Gently heat knob of butter or 1 to 2 tablespoons cooking oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. The heat should be enough to melt the butter, but not make it sizzle.

  • When the butter/oil is melted, crack the egg on the side of the pan & add the egg being careful not to break the yolk.

  • Reduce the heat to low/medium & let the egg cook slowly so that the whites don't brown.

  • Cook until the whites become solidify.

  • Season to taste.

  • Serve with buttered toast.
