Carrot Dip

carrot dip

Ingredients:

8 medium sized carrots, peeled & cut in 2-3 smaller pieces
2 cloves of garlic, peeled and finely chopped
1/2 - 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons Greek yoghurt (you can add more if you prefer a stronger yoghurt flavour)
Salt & pepper to taste
Turkish pide to serve

Method:  

  • Add carrots and garlic to salted water & bring to boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover & cook until tender. Drain.

  • Set aside for 10 minutes to allow the carrots to cool slightly.

  • Add the carrots, garlic, yoghurt, cumin & chili (optional) to a food processor. Process until smooth.

  • Season according to taste.

  • Serve with warm Turkish bread.
