Yorkshire Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons beef dripping or 30g lard or
cooking oil
1/2
teaspoon salt
Method:
Step one (preparation):

Sift flour into a bowl and make a well in
the middle, add eggs & salt & mix.

Gradually add the milk, stirring until all
ingredients are mixed in. The batter should
have the consistency of single milk.

Cover & refrigerate for two hours to allow
the batter to rest.
Step two (cooking):

Preheat oven to 220C (430F or Gas Mark 7)

Add the fat to the cooking tin (you can make one
large Yorkshire pudding or several smaller ones
using muffin tins), place the tin in the oven.

Remove from oven & add a small amount of batter
to the muffin tins (or a larger amount if making
one large Yorkshire pudding. The fat should be
sizzling hot before you add the batter.

Place back in oven & cook for 20 minutes or
until the Yorkshire pudding is golden brown.

Serve immediately.
